Mac Flores Gets Four Years in Prison for Sexual Assault

June 15, 2022- Tamuning, Guam- Judge Alberto C. Lamorena III has sentenced 21-year old Mac Talvo Flores to four years of imprisonment for using his finger to sexually penetrate a 16 year-old relative in March 2020.

Flores acknowledged knowing what he did was wrong when interviewed by law enforcement and, in December 2021, pled guilty to Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct as a Second Degree Felony.
The victim was informed throughout the course of the criminal case and was consulted during plea negotiations. She was also informed that prosecutors would argue for the maximum term of five years’ incarceration under the plea agreement at today’s sentencing hearing.

Prosecutor Dannis L. Le appeared for the People at the sentencing today.

“Victims often face any number of challenges before simply being acknowledged. The victim shared her experience through a powerful letter read aloud in court and today’s sentence reflects the impact of the defendant’s actions on her and shows she has been heard,” said Prosecutor Le.

The defendant was granted time to get his affairs in order but must self-surrender at his status hearing scheduled for August 15, 2022. He has been on electronic monitoring for the last two years while awaiting sentencing.
