Court Sentences Sex Perpetrator to Eight Years In Prison

October 12, 2022- Tamuning, Guam- Presiding Judge Alberto C. Lamorena III sentenced Mairon Aiken to 15 years imprisonment, all but eight years suspended, at the Department of Corrections today. Assistant Attorney General (AAG) Katie Nepton argued for the maximum sentence of 15 years based on the seriousness of the defendant’s crimes and the unlikelihood of rehabilitation.

AAG Nepton said, “We thank the court for being an advocate for this minor victim by imposing this sentence. It is my hope that the victim will continue on the road to healing and recovery.”

The defendant molested the pre-teen victim and also admitted to having intercourse with the minor. He was convicted of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct as a First Degree Felony and Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct as a Second Degree Felony.
