The CICC has paid out over $599,000.00 since it was revived in 2016 and covers expenses such as medical bills and the cost of repairing property damage. Funding for the program comes from local funds and a grant secured by the Office of the Attorney General in 2018 which reimburses 60 cents for every dollar paid out to victims and their families.
