Caso sentenced for dealing drugs

Phillip Vincent Caso was sentenced today and will spend a year and a half at the Department of Corrections for his drug dealing conviction handed down earlier this year.  The Office of the Attorney General recommended a 2-year sentence.

A jury found him guilty of Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver as a First Degree Felony and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance as Third Degree Felony.

A controlled buy was conducted at Caso’s residence in Liguan Terrace where the Guam Police Department obtained ice from him.

“The People of Guam appreciate the sentence that was handed down today by the Court. The sentence Mr. Caso received today shows drug dealers that there will serious consequences for targeting our island and the unfortunate souls addicted to this substance,” said Prosecuting Attorney Matthew Phelps.
