AG Camacho Hosts Virtual Cannabis Regulation Roundtable Workshop

Attorney General Leevin Taitano Camacho partnered with the Attorney General Alliance (AGA) to host a Virtual Cannabis Regulation Roundtable Workshop for interested island residents, businesses, and government of Guam agencies.

Panelists Norman Birenbaum, Kathy Hoffman, John Hudak, Sundie Seefried, and Bruce Turcott have nearly 50 years of collective experience in the cannabis legal and regulatory field. Learn more about them and their areas of expertise here.

At the roundtable, they discussed common issues faced by jurisdictions during the launch of their cannabis industries, and provided tips on ways Guam could develop the industry to support new cannabis business and collect revenue while still combating illegal activity and protecting consumers.

The first half of the roundtable session covered Enforcement Objectives, Licensing Models, and Testing Programs.

Session two covered Banking and Tax/Fee Collection and Regulatory Authority and Structure. A special address was also given by Lieutenant Governor of Guam Joshua F. Tenorio, who briefly joined in on the conversation and thanked the expert panel members for their time.
