December 17, 2020- Tamuning, Guam- Guam Attorney General Leevin Taitano Camacho has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) by NAAG President Karl Racine. It has been 16 years since an attorney general from a territory served on the executive committee; AG Camacho is the first from Guam.

Attorney General Racine, from the District of Columbia, selected “The People v. Hate: Standing Up for Humanity” as his Presidential Initiative.

“I’m honored to have been selected by AG Racine and looking forward to exploring more ways we can combat hate and extremism in our communities,” said AG Camacho. “But I’m most excited to give Guam a voice at the national level, combat our treatment as second-class citizens, and advance our interests through the development of legal policy in this country,” AG Camacho added.

NAAG’s Executive Committee oversees the association’s operations. Camacho is one of three presidential appointments to the twelve member committee. Attorney General Racine also appointed Attorneys General Kathy Jennings of Delaware and Leticia A. James of New York.
