Atanacio Cepeda sentenced to 5 years in prison for terrorizing family and injuring stranger to steal a cell phone

April 15, 2022- Tamuning, Guam- Atanacio Cepeda was sentenced yesterday to five years’ incarceration at the Department of Corrections by Presiding Judge Alberto C. Lamorena III for threatening a family with a knife and rebar and injuring a stranger when stealing a cell phone.


The five-year sentence was the maximum under the terms of plea agreement where Cepeda pled guilty to Terrorizing as a Third Degree Felony in CF0261-20 and Third Degree Robbery as a Third Degree Felony in CF0073-19.


Prosecuting Attorney Dannis Le said, “The five-year sentence reflects the seriousness of the defendant’s actions. Incarceration will protect the public and ensure Mr. Cepeda receives treatment and care from the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center.”
